    PREVIOUS OWNER’S COMMENT:

This is a classic Grand Banks trawler.  It is ideally suited for a couple for extended cruising. We have found that she is suited to ten days (or 800 mi) between provisioning stops.  Its maintenance, servicing and handling capabilities have been optimumized, and its on-board

living features developed to provide the maximum of convenience with respect to the available space.

The vessel handles well offshore, and is a joy on coastal environments; she is safe, dependable and well equipped.  The offering is a complete package, in a power away configuration.

The yacht has had three previous owners.  When we found her, she was standing under cover in a Rhode Island yard.  She underwent, in 06/07, a complete refit. She was gutted (from the flybridge to the bilge), and all operating systems and their components were inspected/redesigned as appropriate/overhauled/repaired/replaced with new and improved units as appropriate.  All pumps, radios, lights, etc were replaced, along with hundreds of meters of new wiring and numerous lengths of hoses.  All of the woodwork was repaired and redone.  The refitting involved some 1500 hours of dedicated work by owner and some 500 hours of paid yard work.  Counting material, upgraded equipment and labour, the refit cost some $85K, with an additional $15k of upgrades since then.

    BROKER’S COMMENT:

This boat is a rarity in Canada. Her ‘duty-paid’ status means a savings of 9.5% to a Canadian buyer relative to one purchased in the US.  As she has been berthed near my own boat, I was a casual witness to the extensive refurbishment of this yacht. I know that the knowledgeable owner looked at a number of sisterships to find the best one available for his planned restoration and ICW & Bahamas cruising.  The current owners have used her lightly on the Saint John River (fresh water) for the past 14 years.
