Vessel Overview
The Nordhavn 57 is a full-displacement passage-maker with all the necessary features for ocean crossings. The construction is to the same heavy scantlings as her sister ships, but the design differs in styling and interior volume. The 57 maintains a rugged, commercial look while having a contemporary elegance. She offers a level of performance with higher cruising speeds and long range potential. The hull and its bulbous bowhave been fine-tuned. A combination of the parabolic-shaped bulb, fuller sections aft, and a stern designed to minimize drag-inducing suction, allows this vessel to run efficiently. The 57 offers cruising speeds above what is normally possible in a full-displacement hull while maintaining the benefits of this hull form, such as ocean crossing capability, reduced noise and vibration levels plus greater safety and comfort.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
The 57 features more interior volume due to a greater beam to length ratio, increased volume in the hull sections, with the beam carried farther aft. Additional innovations include a walk-in engine room with work bench, a deep lazarette with shelves, a large cockpit, swim platform with access door, a large fly-bridge with access stairs; and fiberglass fuel and water tanks.
The yacht has three staterooms and two heads. Custom coil mattresses were installed in 2021. The Vee berth cushion is foam (2022). The heads have VacuFlush marine toilets (pumps and vented loops replaced in 2022).
The galley, at the forward end of the salon, is designed to allow for the production of gourmet meals. It has Corian style counter tops and dual stainless sinks & new facets. The propane stove is a Force 10 with three burners, broiler, and oven; there are two 30 lb. aluminum LPG tanks; Subzero refrigerator and freezer; in-sink garbage disposal; Café 1.7 cu/ft combination convection & microwave oven (2022). There is a Sea Freeze icemaker in the salon, a Force 10 barbecue grill in the cockpit, and a GE freezer in the lazarette. There is a full size Samsung Washer and Dryer (2022); built-in Nutone central vacuum system; laser computer printer; Dometic fridge w/ freezer on the flybridge.
The pilot-house underwent a complete re-wiring in 2022. New (black) headliners were installed with LED (red or white) lighting.

BROKER’S COMMENT: The Nordhavn 57 is one of their most highly regarded models. With her bulbous bow, she is faster than most Nordhavns with a potential 9 kt. cruising speed. She has purposeful good looks and a low maintenance exterior. As with most Nordhavns, she has Trans Atlantic range and capabilities. This boat has had extensive systems upgrades including a complete rewiring of the wheelhouse; recent electronics; batteries, drive shaft; bow thruster motor and so on. The current owner has cruised 8,000 miles in the past year and he has seen to it that the yacht is ready to cruise anywhere.
